Labyrinthine is an in-progress narrativization of the third act of the solo-ttrpg unwebcomic Egress, a creative project that my friend KB and I have shared for the past 3 years.
You can read narrativized accounts of Acts 1 and 2 (and intermission) of Egress on KB’s blog! However, familiarity with the earlier parts of the work are not necessary to enjoy Act 3, which is fairly self contained.
Egress is a story about too many teens with too many computers. It is about the end of the world and making it through it. It is about accepting, defying, and transcending assigned roles.
Labyrinthine is a narrativization of a few sessions of the gmless ttrpg by the same name that KB and I played in 2024, spiced with KB’s extensive ecological, historical, and science-fictional worldbuilding, and expanded upon by myself!
I hope that you enjoy it!
There will be more updates eventually! Consider what is here a preview of a larger work.
As of this writing, Labyrinthine contains themes and content pertaining to:
mind control
transphobia
therapy abuse
KB — For sharing egress with me
The LuciaQuesters — for inspiring me to share this, eventually!
Abigail — for Ladija
The NSR Cauldron discord writing group — for tips, tricks, and encouragement
I love to talk about Egress and reader response really makes my day! If you have thoughts about my work, why not send an email to contact@hamhambone.net! (or ask whoever sent you this page my discord info).
